FAQS
Is HydroPeptide HydraFlora Mist the same as the old HydraFlora Probiotic Essence? +

HydroPeptide now sells HydraFlora as HydraFlora Mist, an ultra-fine 80ml mist. It keeps the same key ingredients we listed for HydraFlora Probiotic Essence - coconut water, blue agave and cactus flower, ProRenew Complex CLR, Brassica Concentrate and the Actiphyte Complex - in a spray format. HydroPeptide has not published a statement on whether the formula itself changed, so we simply list it under its current name.

Is HydroPeptide HydraFlora Mist good for dehydrated skin? +

Yes. HydroPeptide lists dry, dehydrated and dull skin among its focus concerns: the pre- and probiotic complex helps reduce transepidermal water loss by improving barrier function, keeping skin moist and soft. Follow with serum and moisturiser to seal it in.

What do prebiotics and probiotics do in skincare? +

In HydraFlora Mist they help keep the skin's microflora balanced. HydroPeptide says ProRenew Complex CLR and Ecoskin help strengthen the skin, restore its pH and reduce moisture loss by improving barrier function, while ProRenew also supports the skin's natural renewal processes.

Is HydraFlora Mist a toner? +

It sits in the toner step of your routine: mist it over freshly cleansed skin, then follow with serum and moisturiser. Unlike many toners it is alcohol free and designed to hydrate and balance rather than strip.

Does HydraFlora Mist contain alcohol? +

No. HydroPeptide describes it as an alcohol-free, ultra-fine botanical mist.

Is HydraFlora Mist suitable for sensitive skin? +

HydroPeptide says it suits all skin types and helps calm visible redness. It does contain several citrus extracts, so patch test first if your skin reacts to citrus.

Can I use HydroPeptide HydraFlora Mist with retinol or vitamin C? +

Yes. Mist it on after cleansing, let it settle for a moment, then apply your vitamin C or vitamin A serum and moisturiser as usual.

Is HydroPeptide HydraFlora Mist vegan? +

Yes. HydroPeptide states it is cruelty free and vegan, and free of gluten, sulfates, phthalates and parabens.

Can I use HydroPeptide HydraFlora Mist during pregnancy or while breastfeeding? +

It contains no vitamin A, and hydrating mists like this are generally considered suitable during pregnancy and breastfeeding. HydroPeptide does not give pregnancy guidance on its product page, so please check the full ingredient list with your midwife or GP before use.
