FAQS
Is Revision Skincare Triple-Action Exfoliator good for oily or blemish-prone skin? +

Revision recommends it for normal, combination and oily skin, and its salicylic acid helps clear pores for a more refined look. Revision does not recommend using it over active breakouts; for those days it suggests Brightening Facial Wash or Papaya Enzyme Cleanser instead.

What is the difference between physical, chemical and enzymatic exfoliants? +

Physical exfoliants use small particles to buff away dead skin cells on the surface for an immediate smoothing effect. Chemical exfoliants such as AHAs and BHAs dissolve the bonds between dead cells to improve clarity and even out the look of skin tone. Enzymatic exfoliants gently break down dead skin cells as a milder option. Together they address multiple layers and needs of the skin.

How often should I use Triple-Action Exfoliator? +

One to three times a week, depending on your skin. If your skin is sensitive, start once a week and increase gradually; normal and oily skin can use it up to three times weekly.

Can I use Revision Skincare Triple-Action Exfoliator with retinol? +

Yes, but not on the same night. Use the exfoliator on evenings when you are not applying vitamin A or other strong actives, to avoid over-exfoliating.

Can I use it with other AHA or BHA products? +

Revision has not tested it alongside other AHA/BHA cleansers but does not expect them to cancel each other out. Tolerance depends on your skin, so build up slowly and ask your skincare professional if you are unsure.

Will it boost the results of my professional skin appointments? +

Revision says it can extend the results of in-clinic procedures such as dermaplaning by keeping skin smooth and free of build-up. After procedures that disrupt the skin barrier, such as microneedling or a chemical peel, wait 5-7 days before using it, or follow your practitioner's advice.

Will Triple-Action Exfoliator dry out my skin? +

It is designed not to. A cationic postbiotic and cationic hyaluronic acid support post-exfoliation recovery by locking in moisture, so skin feels soft and refreshed rather than tight. Follow with your usual serum and moisturiser.

Are the physical exfoliants environmentally friendly? +

Yes. Revision states that the physical exfoliants in this product - rice hull powder, carnauba wax, bamboo stem extract and hydrated silica - are environmentally friendly.

Can I use Revision Skincare Triple-Action Exfoliator during pregnancy or while breastfeeding? +

It contains no vitamin A, and AHA and BHA exfoliators used a few times a week are generally considered suitable during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Revision does not publish specific pregnancy guidance, so please check with your midwife or GP before use.
