FAQS
What is IMAGE Skincare MD Restoring Power-C Serum? +

It is a high-performance vitamin C serum from the IMAGE MD range, with 20% tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate, acetyl zingerone from ginger and a hydrating antioxidant complex to diminish the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, redness and uneven tone.

Is this a good vitamin C serum for dark spots and dull skin? +

Yes. In IMAGE's 12-week consumer study, 89% agreed skin appeared brighter and 80% agreed it helps fade the look of dark spots. Results build with consistent daily use alongside SPF.

Has the Power-C Serum formula or bottle changed? +

Yes. IMAGE has renovated both. The formula now includes phytic acid to boost vitamin C's antioxidant properties and help keep it stable, and it comes in an opaque glass bottle with an airless pump instead of the earlier blue bottle. The 20% tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate, ultra-hydrating ingredients and lightweight gel texture stay the same.

Should I use it in the morning or evening? +

IMAGE recommends 1 to 2 pumps on cleansed skin every morning, followed by moisturiser and a broad-spectrum SPF.

Can I use it with a retinol at night? +

Yes. Vitamin C in the morning and a retinol product in the evening is a popular pairing. Introduce any new active gradually and always use SPF during the day.

Can I use it around my eyes? +

IMAGE recommends using a dedicated eye product around the orbital bone and eye area rather than this serum.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin? +

IMAGE formulates it for all skin types. Tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate is generally gentler than pure L-ascorbic acid, but if your skin is reactive, patch test first and start with one pump.

Why does vitamin C need to be stable? +

Vitamin C can lose effectiveness when exposed to light and air. The stable form of vitamin C, phytic acid and the airless, light-blocking bottle all help the serum stay effective for longer.

Can I use IMAGE Skincare MD Restoring Power-C Serum during pregnancy or while breastfeeding? +

It does not contain retinol, salicylic acid or hydroquinone, which are the ingredients IMAGE lists as typically avoided in pregnancy. However, IMAGE always recommends checking with your doctor or midwife before using any skincare product while pregnant or breastfeeding.
