FAQS
Is IMAGE Skincare ORMEDIC Balancing Eye Lift Gel good for puffy eyes? +

Yes - puffiness is its main job. The quinoa seed extract contains a natural peptide that IMAGE Skincare says helps to visibly de-puff and minimise the look of under-eye bags, and in the brand's four-week clinical study on 30 women puffiness improved by 11% and hydration of the eye area by 36%. Keeping the tube in the fridge adds an instant cooling effect.

Does ORMEDIC Balancing Eye Lift Gel help with dark circles? +

IMAGE Skincare does not make a dark-circle claim for this product; its measured results are hydration, fine lines and puffiness. A well-hydrated, de-puffed eye area usually looks brighter, but if shadows are your main concern tell us and we will point you to something aimed specifically at them.

Can I use IMAGE Skincare ORMEDIC Balancing Eye Lift Gel with retinol or acids? +

Yes. It contains no vitamin A or exfoliating acids, so it layers happily under or alongside active products. Apply the eye gel first, let it absorb, then continue with the rest of your routine, keeping stronger actives away from the eye contour.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin? +

It is formulated in ORMEDIC, IMAGE Skincare's gentlest range, with certified organic botanicals, a skin-neutral pH and no parabens, phthalates or synthetic fragrance, and the brand lists sensitive skin among the types it suits. As with any eye product, keep it on the skin around the eye rather than on the eyelid margin and patch test first if you are very reactive.

What did the clinical study on ORMEDIC Balancing Eye Lift Gel show? +

In IMAGE Skincare's four-week clinical study with 30 female participants, hydration of the eye area improved by 36%, the look of fine lines by 13% and puffiness by 11%. In the consumer panel, 87% agreed the eye area felt hydrated, 84% agreed it felt refreshed and 77% agreed it looked and felt balanced.

Can I wear it under make-up? +

Yes - it is a light gel that absorbs quickly. Pat on a pea-sized amount, give it a minute to set, then apply sunscreen and concealer as usual. Most people find concealer sits more smoothly over hydrated under-eyes.

How is it different from AGELESS total eye lift crème? +

ORMEDIC Balancing Eye Lift Gel is a cooling, hydrating gel focused on puffiness, dehydration and comfort for sensitive eye areas. AGELESS total eye lift crème is a richer cream from IMAGE Skincare's anti-ageing range aimed more firmly at lines and firmness. Many clients use the gel by day and the crème at night.

How much should I use and where? +

A pea-sized amount is enough for both eyes. IMAGE Skincare directs it to the area below the eyes, the outer corners and the brow bone, morning and evening.

Can I use IMAGE Skincare ORMEDIC Balancing Eye Lift Gel during pregnancy or while breastfeeding? +

It contains no vitamin A and is a hydrating, peptide-based gel, so it is generally considered suitable. IMAGE Skincare asks customers to consult their doctor before using any of its products while pregnant or breastfeeding, so check with your midwife or GP if you have any doubt.
