FAQS
Is IMAGE Skincare the MAX Masque good for firming and loss of elasticity? +

Yes - IMAGE describes it as a luxurious masque that helps to visibly improve the appearance of skin tightness, firmness and elasticity, blanketing the skin with peptides and plant cell extracts that improve the appearance of wrinkles. Used three to four times a week, it is the firming step of the MAX routine.

Is the MAX Masque the same as the old MAX Stem Cell Masque? +

The MAX Masque is the current name for the product IMAGE Skincare previously sold as the MAX Stem Cell Masque; the brand refreshed its packaging and dropped 'stem cell' from the names across the range. It keeps the same 59ml tube and the same place in the routine.

How often should I use the MAX Masque? +

IMAGE recommends three to four times a week for best results, leaving it on for 15 to 30 minutes each time before rinsing with lukewarm water.

Can I leave IMAGE Skincare the MAX Masque on overnight? +

No. IMAGE advises against leaving it on longer than the recommended 15 to 30 minutes. For overnight nourishment, rinse it off and follow with the MAX Crème instead.

Is the MAX Masque suitable for oily skin? +

It was not designed for oily skin. IMAGE says it can be used on oily skin but may be too hydrating, and points oilier skins towards the AGELESS range. It is at its best on dry, dull or mature skin.

Can I use it on my neck, chest and hands? +

Yes - IMAGE directs it to the face, neck, décolleté and hands, so one application can cover all the areas that show the signs of ageing first.

Is it a clay mask? Will it dry my skin out? +

It contains kaolin for its creamy, cushioning texture, but IMAGE describes it as a moisture-rich formula with squalane and amino acids to lock moisture into the skin - a hydrating crème masque rather than a drying clay mask.

Can I use the MAX Masque with retinol or exfoliating acids? +

Yes. It contains neither, so it can sit in the same routine. On masque nights, rinse it off and then apply your retinol or acid as usual, or keep masque nights and strong-active nights separate if your skin is sensitive.

Can I use IMAGE Skincare the MAX Masque during pregnancy or while breastfeeding? +

It contains no retinol or other vitamin A derivatives, so it is generally considered suitable during pregnancy and breastfeeding. IMAGE Skincare does not make a specific pregnancy claim for this product and recommends checking with your midwife or GP before introducing any new skincare while pregnant or breastfeeding.
