FAQS
Is iS Clinical Body Complex good for dry, crepey skin? +

That is its home ground. Hyaluronic acid and aloe sit near the top of the formula for hydration, while mixed fruit acids gently exfoliate so the surface looks smoother and plumper. iS Clinical lists dehydrated skin, thin crepey skin and rough texture among the concerns it suits.

Does Body Complex exfoliate? Will it sting? +

It gives mild, leave-on exfoliation from fruit and sugar acids plus willow bark - no grains or scrubbing. On intact skin it should feel like a lotion; a brief tingle on freshly shaved or very dry areas is normal. If you are sensitive, start every other day.

Can I use iS Clinical Body Complex on sensitive or reactive skin? +

Yes - sensitive, irritated and compromised skin are on iS Clinical's own list for this product, and the brand describes it as excellent for even the most compromised skin. It contains wheat germ oil and a jasmine extract, so patch test if you have known plant sensitivities.

Can I use it before or after a procedure? +

iS Clinical suggests using it for 30 days before a procedure to condition the skin, and afterwards once the skin surface has fully closed over. Always follow the timing your practitioner gives you.

What is the difference between Body Complex and Youth Body Serum? +

Body Complex is a hydrating, gently exfoliating lotion with fruit acids and willow bark. Youth Body Serum is a lightweight mist-serum built around hyaluronic acid, watermelon, blue microalgae and Extremozymes with no exfoliating acids or vitamin A. Use the serum first and the complex over it, or the serum alone during pregnancy.

Does Body Complex contain vitamin A? +

Yes, a small amount of retinyl palmitate - a gentle ester of vitamin A - appears in the lower half of the ingredient list as part of the vitamin and antioxidant blend. It is not a retinol product, but we mention it so you can decide, particularly during pregnancy.

How much should I use? +

A generous amount, massaged into clean skin until absorbed, ideally straight after a bath or shower. Focus on the driest areas - shins, elbows, knees, upper arms, décolletage and the backs of hands.

Do I need SPF when using Body Complex? +

On exposed skin by day, yes. The fruit acids and willow bark exfoliate gently, which can leave skin a little more sun-sensitive, so protect arms, chest and hands with a sunscreen such as Eclipse SPF 50+.

Can I use iS Clinical Body Complex during pregnancy or while breastfeeding? +

Body Complex contains a small amount of retinyl palmitate (a gentle form of vitamin A) plus willow bark and fruit acids. Most clinicians advise avoiding vitamin A while pregnant or breastfeeding, so check with your midwife or GP before use. iS Clinical Youth Body Serum is the brand's vitamin A-free body alternative for this time.
