FAQS
What is in the iS Clinical Pure Care Collection and in what order do I use it? +

Five formulas: Cleansing Complex (60ml), SHEALD Recovery Balm (60g), Pro-Heal Serum Advance+ (3.75ml), Hydra-Cool Serum (3.75ml) and two Eclipse SPF 50+ (10g each).

  • Morning: Cleansing Complex, Pro-Heal Serum Advance+, Hydra-Cool Serum, SHEALD Recovery Balm, Eclipse SPF 50+
  • Evening: Cleansing Complex, Hydra-Cool Serum, SHEALD Recovery Balm

Thinnest to thickest is the rule: serums first, balm on top, sunscreen last in the morning.

When can I start using iS Clinical Pure Care Collection after a peel or laser? +

Follow your practitioner's instructions - they know what was done and how your skin responded. As a guide, iS Clinical lists SHEALD Recovery Balm for compromised and even raw post-procedure skin, while Cleansing Complex and Pro-Heal Serum Advance+ are listed for use once the skin surface has closed over (re-epithelialised).

What is SHEALD Recovery Balm and why is it the main product in the kit? +

SHEALD Recovery Balm is iS Clinical's moisture-rich recovery balm, built on bioidentical ceramides, hyaluronic acid, glycerin and vitamin E, and clinically shown to provide environmental protection. It softens and hydrates dry, sensitive or compromised skin and eases tightness, which is why it is the product most clinics send home after a procedure.

Can I use the Pure Care Collection if I have not had a procedure? +

Yes. iS Clinical describes the regimen as being for compromised or intolerant skin generally, and SHEALD Recovery Balm as an excellent protective moisturiser for harsh cold or dry climates. It is a good kit for a reactive phase, a skiing trip or a winter when your usual routine feels like too much.

How long will the Pure Care Collection last? +

It is sized for a recovery window rather than months of use. Expect the 60g SHEALD Recovery Balm and 60ml Cleansing Complex to last around two to four weeks of twice-daily use, with the 3.75ml serums and two 10g sunscreens supporting the same period.

Does the Pure Care Collection contain fragrance? +

No added fragrance or parfum appears on any of the five ingredient lists. Hydra-Cool Serum contains menthol for its cooling feel, which very reactive skin may notice, so patch test if you are unsure.

Can I use iS Clinical Pure Care Collection with retinol or exfoliating acids? +

While skin is recovering, pause your usual retinol and acid products and let the kit do its job; reintroduce them once your practitioner is happy. Pro-Heal Serum Advance+ contains a low level of retinol alongside vitamin C, so there is no need to add another vitamin A product during this time.

Why are there two Eclipse SPF 50+ tubes? +

Reapplication. Sunscreen needs topping up at least every two hours, so iS Clinical includes two 10g tubes: one for the bathroom and one for your bag. Eclipse SPF 50+ is an all-physical, water-resistant SPF with an ultra-sheer, non-greasy finish.

Can I use iS Clinical Pure Care Collection during pregnancy or while breastfeeding? +

iS Clinical recommends consulting your physician before using Pro-Heal Serum Advance+ if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or nursing, because it contains retinol. SHEALD Recovery Balm and Cleansing Complex also list retinyl palmitate low in their ingredients. Hydra-Cool Serum and Eclipse SPF 50+ are vitamin-A-free and generally considered suitable, but please discuss the full kit with your midwife or GP before use.
