FAQS
Is iS Clinical Reparative Moisture Emulsion good for oily or sensitive skin? +

Yes - iS Clinical describes it as great for all skin types including oily and sensitive skin, and lists compromised or irritated skin among its uses. The lightweight emulsion texture absorbs without greasiness, and the peptides and Extremozymes do their work without heaviness.

Can I use iS Clinical Reparative Moisture Emulsion as a make-up primer? +

That is exactly how it was designed: iS Clinical created it in conjunction with leading make-up artists as a moisturising prep for make-up. Apply, wait around a minute, then go straight in with foundation.

What are Extremozymes? +

Extremozymes are iS Clinical's proprietary combination of enzymes derived from organisms that survive extreme environments - here the resurrection plant Haberlea rhodopensis. The brand reports they are clinically shown to help protect skin from environmental stressors.

What is the difference between Reparative Moisture Emulsion and Moisturizing Complex? +

Moisturizing Complex is the classic daily moisturiser with hyaluronic acid and vitamins A, C and E. Reparative Moisture Emulsion is lighter and adds copper tripeptide-1, Extremozymes and superoxide dismutase, with a finish made for make-up. Choose the emulsion for peptides and primer-like texture, the complex for simple, rich-enough hydration.

Can I use it after a peel or professional procedure? +

iS Clinical lists post-procedure use once the skin has re-epithelialised, and compromised or irritated skin among its indications. Follow your practitioner's advice on when to reintroduce it.

Can I use it with retinol or Active Serum? +

Yes. Apply Active Serum, Retinol+ Emulsion or your other actives first, let them absorb, then smooth the emulsion over the top; its hydration helps keep skin comfortable alongside stronger products.

Does it contain fragrance? +

No parfum is listed in the ingredients and there are no essential oils, which is part of why it suits sensitive and compromised skin. It is free from parabens, phthalates and sulphates.

Should I use it in the morning or at night? +

Both. It is light enough for the morning under sunscreen and make-up, and nourishing enough as a night moisturiser; very dry skin can add Youth Intensive Crème over it in the evening.

Can I use iS Clinical Reparative Moisture Emulsion during pregnancy or while breastfeeding? +

It contains retinyl palmitate, a mild vitamin A ester, low down the ingredient list. iS Clinical does not publish pregnancy or breastfeeding guidance for this product, and most clinicians advise avoiding vitamin A in skincare during this time as a precaution, so please check with your midwife or GP first. If you would rather switch, iS Clinical Daily Dynamic Hydrator contains no vitamin A.
