It contains retinyl palmitate, a gentle vitamin A ester used here at a supporting level for antioxidant benefit. It is not a retinol or retinoid treatment product, so you can use it morning and evening and layer it with a dedicated retinoid if you use one.

Many customers with easily upset skin use it comfortably because the base is built around soothing aloe, squalane and hydrators, and it is free from parabens, sulphates, phthalates and ethanol. It does contain fragrance, however, so if your skin reacts to fragranced products we suggest applying a small amount to the jawline for a few days before using it across the face.

The formula contains retinyl palmitate, a vitamin A derivative, and fragrance. Although the level is low, many healthcare professionals advise avoiding vitamin A derivatives during pregnancy and breastfeeding, so we recommend checking with your midwife or GP before use.
