FAQS
Is Medik8 Micellar Mousse good for sensitive skin? +

Yes. Medik8 lists it as suitable for all skin types and highlights it for dry and dehydrated skin; the olive oil-infused micelles and glycerin mean it never leaves skin feeling dry or tight. It is alcohol free and contains no artificial fragrance, though it does carry a natural citrus scent, so patch test first if you are fragrance-sensitive.

Does Micellar Mousse remove make-up and sunscreen? +

Yes - Medik8 describes it as removing make-up, sunscreen and impurities in one gentle step, with no cotton pads needed. For heavy eye make-up, Medik8's cleanser guide lists Lipid-Balance Cleansing Oil and Total Moisture Daily Cleansing Gel as the ones that also remove eye make-up; use the oil first and Micellar Mousse as your second cleanse.

How is Micellar Mousse different from a micellar water? +

Same micellar technology, different delivery. A micellar water is wiped on with cotton pads and often left on the skin; Micellar Mousse is a whipped, rinse-off foam, so there is no residue, no pads in the bin and no tight feeling afterwards, thanks to the olive oil at the heart of each micelle.

Can I use Medik8 Micellar Mousse as part of a double cleanse? +

Absolutely. Medik8 recommends it as your second cleanse, after Lipid-Balance Cleansing Oil, for a thorough yet gentle routine - the oil dissolves make-up and SPF, the mousse sweeps away what is left.

Is Micellar Mousse fragrance free? +

It contains no artificial fragrance. Its fresh scent comes from natural citrus oils in the formula - orange, grapefruit, lime, bergamot and bitter orange - which is why limonene appears on the ingredient list. If you need a completely fragrance-free cleanser, ask us and we will point you to one.

Is Micellar Mousse vegan? +

Medik8 does not display Vegan Society certification for Micellar Mousse, unlike many products in its range, so we do not claim it. Medik8 does not test its products or ingredients on animals.

Which toner should I use after Micellar Mousse? +

Daily Refresh Balancing Toner for sensitive or dehydrated skin, Press & Glow for glow and texture, or Press & Clear for blemish-prone skin. All three are Medik8's tone step straight after cleansing.

How long does a bottle last? +

Medik8 counts around 90 uses per 150ml bottle, so used morning and evening it lasts roughly six weeks.

Can I use Medik8 Micellar Mousse during pregnancy or while breastfeeding? +

It contains no vitamin A and no exfoliating acids. Medik8's only published guidance is a general note that Micellar Mousse contains no ingredients it would recommend avoiding during pregnancy unless your doctor advises otherwise; it does not give formal pregnancy or breastfeeding advice beyond that. Please check the ingredient list with your midwife or GP first.
