FAQS
Is Medik8 Niacinamide Peptides good for blemish-prone skin and large pores? +

That is exactly what it is built for. In Medik8's independent four-week clinical study it delivered a 35% reduction in visible blemishes and a 26% reduction in visible pore size, with visibly clearer skin and smoother texture in 7 days. It balances oil with zinc PCA rather than drying the skin out, so it suits combination and sensitive skin too.

Is Medik8 Niacinamide Peptides the same as Clarity Peptides? +

It is the next generation rather than the same product. Medik8 describes Niacinamide Peptides as building on everything customers loved about Clarity Peptides, and its old Clarity Peptides page now points to this one. Both are 10% niacinamide emulsions with the Crystalide peptide, zinc PCA, N-acetyl glucosamine and hyaluronic acid, but Niacinamide Peptides is a new formula with stated 3% Crystalide and 1% zinc PCA levels and a full set of clinical results behind it.

Can I use Medik8 Niacinamide Peptides with Crystal Retinal or retinol? +

Yes. Medik8's evening layering puts Niacinamide Peptides straight after cleansing, then Crystal Retinal, then moisturiser. Niacinamide's barrier support makes it a comfortable partner for vitamin A.

Do I apply it before or after vitamin C? +

It depends on the texture of your vitamin C. Oil-based C-Tetra and C-Tetra Luxe go on first, then Niacinamide Peptides. With a water-based or gel vitamin C, apply that first, then Niacinamide Peptides, then sunscreen.

Can I layer Niacinamide Peptides with Liquid Peptides Advanced MP? +

Absolutely. Both are lightweight emulsions, and Medik8 recommends following the thinnest-to-thickest rule: Niacinamide Peptides is slightly thinner, so apply it first and Liquid Peptides Advanced MP on top.

Will 10% niacinamide irritate sensitive skin? +

Medik8's data suggests not: 94% of consumer-study participants agreed it was gentle, 100% of clinical participants showed an improved skin barrier within 7 days, and it is fragrance free, alcohol free, non-comedogenic and dermatologically tested. Patch test first as with any new active.

Should I use it in the morning or evening? +

Either or both. Medik8 says it can be used after cleansing day or night; most people use it twice a day for the fastest visible results on pores and blemishes.

How quickly will I see results? +

Medik8's studies showed visibly clearer skin, smoother texture and reduced visible redness within 7 days, with the full 35% reduction in visible blemishes and 26% reduction in visible pore size measured at 4 weeks.

Can I use Medik8 Niacinamide Peptides during pregnancy or while breastfeeding? +

It contains no vitamin A, which is the ingredient most people are asked to avoid. Medik8 does not publish formal pregnancy or breastfeeding guidance: as a cosmetics company it says it cannot advise on medical conditions and asks customers to discuss the full ingredient list with their midwife or GP before use. Its only general note is that the formula contains no ingredients it would recommend avoiding in pregnancy unless your doctor advises otherwise. Please check with your midwife or GP first.
