FAQS
Is PRIORI Age Renew Brightening Serum the same as Q+SOD Brightening Serum? +

Yes. PRIORI now sells the former Q+SOD Brightening Serum (also known as Q+SOD fx220 Brightening Serum) as Age Renew Brightening Serum. It keeps the CoQ10, SOD, 0.15% retinol, 15% lactic acid, licorice and mulberry the brand lists, and the ingredient list PRIORI publishes matches the one we hold for the previous name.

Is PRIORI Age Renew Brightening Serum good for dark spots and uneven skin tone? +

That is its focus. PRIORI recommends it for anyone concerned with dark spots, brown marks and uneven tone from sun exposure: retinol and lactic acid resurface, licorice and mulberry help even the look of darker areas, and CoQ10 and SOD add antioxidant defence.

What does Q+SOD mean? +

Q stands for CoQ10 (ubiquinone), an antioxidant with great skin penetration, and SOD for superoxide dismutase, an enzyme antioxidant. PRIORI's Q+SOD line combines them with retinol so they work together for visible correction and protection.

How much retinol and lactic acid does it contain? +

PRIORI lists 0.15% retinol and 15% lactic acid, combined with CoQ10, SOD, licorice and mulberry in a creamy serum.

Can I use it on my hands and body? +

Yes. PRIORI designed it for uneven-toned areas of the face, neck, décolletage and body, and suggests rubbing the remainder into the backs of your hands after each application.

Can I use it morning and night? +

Yes, once or twice daily depending on the results you want. If you use it in the morning, always finish with a broad-spectrum SPF; PRIORI's own tip is to apply it at night after cleansing.

Do I need sunscreen with it? +

Yes. Retinol and lactic acid can increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun, so apply a broad-spectrum SPF every morning and keep sun exposure sensible while using it.

Is it suitable if I am new to retinol? +

It can be, with a gradual start. Begin with a few evenings a week, build up to daily use as your skin adjusts, and avoid using other strong exfoliants on the same night.

Can I use PRIORI Age Renew Brightening Serum during pregnancy or while breastfeeding? +

It contains retinol (vitamin A) and 15% lactic acid, and most clinicians advise avoiding vitamin A while pregnant or breastfeeding. PRIORI notes that its products have not been tested for use in pregnancy and that the choice should be made with your doctor. PRIORI DNA Repair & Prevent Serum, with vitamins C and E but no vitamin A, is a gentler option from the same brand for this time - please check with your midwife or GP first.
