FAQS
Is Revision Skincare HA HydraSerum+ the same as the old Hydrating Serum? +

HA HydraSerum+ is the name Revision Skincare now uses for the serum previously sold as Hydrating Serum. The product codes for both sizes carry over, and the key ingredients - hyaluronic acid, palmitoyl tripeptide-5, fruit extracts, honey and sea kelp - are unchanged. Revision has not announced a reformulation, but you may see either name on packaging while stock changes over.

Is Revision Skincare HA HydraSerum+ good for oily or sensitive skin? +

Yes. Revision describes it as ideal for dry, oily, sensitive and combination skin. It is oil-free, weightless and fast-absorbing, so it hydrates without heaviness. Patch test first, as with any new product.

What does multi-molecular hyaluronic acid mean? +

Hyaluronic acid is a molecule found naturally in the skin that holds around a thousand times its weight in water. HA HydraSerum+ uses sodium hyaluronate, its water-soluble salt form, in both high and medium molecular weights, which Revision says work in different ways to give immediate and longer-lasting hydration.

How much does HA HydraSerum+ increase hydration? +

In Revision's study, a single application increased skin moisture levels by 61% at 15 minutes, 54% at two hours, 51% at six hours, 45% at eight hours and 40% at ten hours. Data on file; results may vary.

Can I use HA HydraSerum+ with retinol and vitamin C? +

Yes. Revision layers it after C+ Correcting Complex 30% in the morning, and it is a natural partner to Retinol Complete in the evening when retinol leaves skin feeling dry.

Do I need a moisturiser on top? +

That depends on your skin. Revision says it can be used alone or as a moisture booster under creams or lotions, so oily skin may find it enough on its own, while dry skin will appreciate a moisturiser over the top.

What is the difference between the 30ml and the 15ml travel size? +

They are sizes of the same serum. The 15ml travel size is a lower-cost way to try it or to keep in a bag; the 30ml bottle is the better value for twice-daily use.

Can I use it after an in-clinic procedure? +

Revision states that its products are not intended for broken skin and should only be used once the skin has fully recovered after a procedure. Follow your practitioner's aftercare advice first.

Can I use Revision Skincare HA HydraSerum+ during pregnancy or while breastfeeding? +

It contains no vitamin A, the ingredient most people are asked to avoid. Revision Skincare does not publish specific pregnancy or breastfeeding guidance for this product. Hyaluronic acid serums are generally considered suitable during pregnancy and breastfeeding, but please check the full ingredient list with your midwife or GP before use.
