FAQS
Is this the best mineral sunscreen for sensitive skin? +

Yes, this is one of the best mineral sunscreens for sensitive and post-procedure skin. The ultra-mild, 100% mineral formula uses titanium dioxide and zinc oxide to provide broad-spectrum protection without the irritation that chemical sunscreens can cause. It's been specifically formulated for sensitive skin types and has earned the Skin Cancer Foundation Seal of Recommendation.

What does the ZOX12® complex do? +

ZOX12® is ZO Skin Health's exclusive 12-hour time-release antioxidant complex containing vitamins A, C and E. It provides extended protection against free radical damage caused by environmental aggressors and shields skin from harmful infrared (IR-A) rays. This goes beyond basic sun protection to actively defend your skin throughout the day.

Does this sunscreen protect against blue light from screens? +

Yes, this sunscreen contains fractionated melanin which provides protection against high-energy visible (HEV) blue light emitted from both the sun and electronic devices like phones, tablets and computer screens. This makes it ideal for those who spend significant time in front of screens.

Can I use this sunscreen after chemical peels or laser treatment? +

Yes, this sunscreen is specifically formulated for post-procedure skin. The ultra-mild mineral formula with soothing ingredients like bisabolol and beta-glucan makes it gentle enough for freshly treated skin whilst providing comprehensive protection. Always follow your practitioner's specific aftercare instructions.

Will this sunscreen leave a white cast? +

This mineral sunscreen is formulated to blend well on most skin tones with minimal white cast. However, those with deeper skin tones may notice some residue. The formula is designed to be lightweight and sheer, making it suitable for daily wear under makeup or alone.

How often should I reapply this sunscreen? +

Reapply at least every 2 hours when outdoors, or immediately after swimming, sweating or towel drying. For office-based days with minimal sun exposure, reapplication at lunchtime is recommended. If you're spending extended time outdoors, set a reminder to ensure consistent protection.

Is this sunscreen water-resistant? +

This sunscreen is not water-resistant. If you're swimming or sweating heavily, ZO Skin Health recommends using a water-resistant sunscreen instead. For everyday wear with normal activity levels, this formula provides excellent protection with a comfortable, hydrating feel.

How long will one tube last? +

The 118g tube typically lasts 2-3 months with daily facial application, depending on how generously you apply. For proper protection, use approximately a 5p coin-sized amount for face and neck. If applying to additional areas like ears and décolletage, the product may be used more quickly.

Can I use this sunscreen during pregnancy or breastfeeding? +

This mineral sunscreen uses physical UV filters (titanium dioxide and zinc oxide) which sit on top of the skin rather than being absorbed. These are generally considered safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding. However, we always recommend consulting your healthcare provider or midwife before introducing any new skincare products during pregnancy.
