FAQS
Is ZO Skin Health Skin Brightening Program + Texture Repair good for dark spots and uneven texture? +

That is exactly what it is assembled for. Retinol Skin Brightener 1% is described by ZO as clinically shown to rapidly improve the appearance of uneven skin tone, Wrinkle + Texture Repair targets the look of wrinkles and rough texture, and Brightalive brightens without retinol, so tone and texture are worked on together.

What is included in the ZO Skin Health Skin Brightening Program + Texture Repair? +

4 products:

  • Retinol Skin Brightener 1% (30ml)
  • Daily Power Defense (30ml)
  • Wrinkle + Texture Repair (30ml)
  • Brightalive (30ml)
In what order do I use the four products? +

Morning and evening, after cleansing: Daily Power Defense, then Brightalive. In the evening add Retinol Skin Brightener 1% and then Wrinkle + Texture Repair, starting twice a week and building to nightly as tolerated. Finish every morning with sunscreen.

What is the difference between Retinol Skin Brightener 1% and Wrinkle + Texture Repair? +

Retinol Skin Brightener 1% is formulated for discolouration: 1% retinol in oleosome delivery with bakuchiol and a brightening blend. Wrinkle + Texture Repair is formulated for lines and texture: 0.5% retinol in a microemulsion with the ZCORE complex and ZPRO. One brightens, the other smooths, and the programme uses both.

Can I really use two retinols in one routine? +

ZO designed the programme that way, but introduce them slowly: twice a week to begin, building to alternate nights and then nightly only if your skin is comfortable. If both in one evening is too much, alternate them night by night, or move Retinol Skin Brightener 1% to the morning under sunscreen, which ZO allows.

Will it make my skin peel? +

Possibly, at first. ZO lists redness, flakiness, dryness and mild stinging as anticipated reactions when starting retinol, easing as skin acclimatises over the first few weeks. Phase the retinols in gradually and pair them with a ZO hydrator.

Do I need a consultation to buy ZO Skin Health from Adore Your Skin? +

Yes. ZO is a professional range, so Adore Your Skin supplies it following a short online skin consultation with our nurse-led team. Complete the ZO consultation on our site and, once approved, you will receive an access code that unlocks ordering on every ZO product page.

Is Wrinkle + Texture Repair the same as ZO Wrinkle + Texture? +

ZO now lists this serum simply as Wrinkle + Texture 0.5%; earlier packaging, and this programme's name, use Wrinkle + Texture Repair. The ingredient list ZO publishes under the new name is the one shown on this page.

Can I use the ZO Skin Health Skin Brightening Program + Texture Repair during pregnancy or while breastfeeding? +

No - it contains retinol in two of its four products. ZO states that the safety of topical retinol in pregnancy or breastfeeding has not been established, and most clinicians advise avoiding vitamin A during this time. ZO's Skin Tone Evening + Brightening Program, built on the non-retinol Brightalive, is the brand's alternative; please check any routine with your midwife or GP.
